Skimmer useful on FW tanks?

Hey jsut curious if added a skimmer to a freshwater tank if it work the same or not? Like if it would be worht it if its jsut laying around?

Sorry, won't work. You won't get the bubbles like you do with salt. Or so I have heard.

Fin is right. It works about 10% as well in fresh. The saltwater makes the bubbles MUCH MUCH more fine. Otherwise they just seem to not fill properly and it is alot more noisy.
