I have a 30 gallon reef tank thats been set up for a year now. I got my tax return back and am going to purchase either an Aqua C remora or and upgrade in filtration.
Here is whats in my tank and whats running:
25lbs LR
2 firefish and 1 oscellaris
Hermits and snails
8 different soft corals
BTA
emperor filter
phosban reactor
2 900 maxijet PH's
PC lights, not sure on wattage
I am looking to spend no more than $250. What should i get for my tank? Thanks for the advice.

I have an Aqua C Remora skimmer that is fantastic. My numbers are always great since adding this about 1 year ago. I vote to go with the skimmer. :happyfish

Skimmer
. IMO a good skimmer is much more important than any other type of filter

look at the website and see what they are rated for. I have a Aqua C Urchin Pro and it is rated for like reefs up to 125. So if the Remoras are rated around the Urchins I think the regular Remora would be fine. But just check and see what their ratings are.
