Has anyone bought the prizm skimmer available on this site? If so can you tell me if that will be ok for a 29 gal, FWLR? Or can you recommend something else.

Is it the one that hangs on the back? My niece has that one and it works ok, but it's to noisey for my liking and it blows a lot of bubbles into her tank. I think they make a bubble trap for them.

Skimmers are suppoesed to lower nitrates right? If I'm wrong on that assumption someone please tell me what will lower my nitrates.

What is the exact purpose of one? I know it does lower cetrain parameters....but is its only purpose to improve overall water quality? (sorry not trying to steal thread) lol

I'm running a Prism Deluxe on my 29 gallon tank. It take some time to kick in, but it works great when it gets going.

My prizm works great. Takes a minute to get it adjusted right, but works great once you find the money spot. It's been running over 2 years.
