I have a berlin classic skimmer and it upsets me off how i will set it so that it perfectly dry skims, just barely any foam coming out top. Then the next day i will look at it and the entire collection cup will be full with water and all the stuff that i skimmed the day before will go back into the tank. Its like i have to check my skimmer 10 times a day!

just keep a close eye on it! it seems like a great skimmer other than that. If you do have a draine on the bottom of the cup, be sure to run the little tube that should come with it to like a big cup so if it does start to over flow, you can catch it. It just sucks knowing that all the unwanted organics are being put back into your tank.

make sure that the skimmer air hole is not being blocked..I have to periodically run a drill bit through the little hole, where the airline hooks up too, and push some calcium buildup through sometimes. That seems to correct the erroneous level changes for awhile...good luck

haha yeah thanks for the compliment.......all the regular names i thought of were taken so i figured a screwed up name like "use durgs" wouldnt be take haha..........

are feeding the tank and then its overflowing by chance. alot of times the foods we feed will cause the skimmer to go nutts this includes the invert foods.
Just a thought anyway.

OH MY GOD, i set my skimmer so nearly NO foam was comming out the top. About 4 hrs later i look and its over flowing again!!!!!! does anyone have this problem? this almost makes my skimmer seem to good, it picks up everything.........and then spills it back into my tank.
