my skimmer-name brand-seem to pick up more water than foam...i have a 55 gallon and the lfs sold me on for a 60 and above-any advice

What type of skimmer? I have a SeaClone 100 "new model and have great luck with it. Took me a few days to get the right setting on the air valve, but no big deal.

i'm new to the saltwater thing haven't yet purchased a skimmer but looking at a seaclone 100,how do you know when you've got the right adjustment on it?

How much water empties out when you empty it? Do you have to replenish what you empty by mixing salt and water again into a water change type procedure?
