skimmer

I am in the process of cycling a 72 gallon reef-ready aquarium. My wet dry is an aqua clear model 75. From the looks of the website, the skimmer will sit in the sump after water has gone through the bio-balls. How much better is it to have the skimmer before the wet dry? What skimmers and wet drys are you guys using to get around this problem? Anyone have any good/bad experinces with the aqua clear line of products?

thanks for the reply. cool setup. How do you like the skimmer? Is it set up to skim water before it hits the wet dry( I couldn't see some of the plumbing)?
