I heard that Aquac's are great. Look for the urchin line if your tank is not that big. They have others too..
good luck.

Coralife Super Skimmers (needle wheel) and the Aqua C Remora/Urchin are great skimmers. Personally, I would go with an Aqua C because they're the best for the money (and boy are they expensive). I personally have 2 Remoras and they're workhorses. I just bought a Coralife Super Skimmer for a new Seahorse tank I'm going to start. I've read plenty of reviews on it's performance, some people even say it outperforms the Remora.
BTW, the Coralife skimmer can be used in a sump or HOB.

Thanks for all the info, I went out and bought the coralife super skimmer. I have a 110 and used to run a seaclone 150 wich wasn't that great but after I spent all my money on lights that's what I had to go with until today. After a couple of weeks I'll post a review.

Anybody have a picture of one of these Coralife skimmers?..I'd kind of like to see what they look like.

I just saw a few pics.... The tank size rating is way way off. I'd say the large model is good for nothing bigger then a 125.

As long as they are setup properly they work fine for their rated tank sizes..but then again it all depends on whats in that tank to begin with...........Srt skimmer power head within 2" of water surface not deep as depicted in the directions, and keep outflow tube at or slightly above water level of tank...........works like a champ. MIne has been skimming merily along and doing just fine for awhile now and required no fiddling, and is ppulling some nice dark green/black skim, and virtually no micro bubbles being infused into the tank, and working without the bug ugly bubble diffuser box too....Its Q U I E T! Coralife SUper Skimmers IMHO have the best bang for the buck and do a very good job.

Lets take the Coralifes largest model...its a 6" diamiter body that's 25" tall and rated for a 220 gal tank. Now lets look at the same size Euro Reef skimmer that uses a MUCH better design, MUCH better pump and its rated for a 110 gal tank......I'd like to agree with you but your dreaming if you think these skimmers are rated even close to what they recommend.
But what to I know
