Skimming

hi everybody i would like some input on a Prizm Pro Protein Skimmer. I have a 55g that is in the middle of its cycle and I like the looks of this skimmer. The reason is that my tank is in the open some what, also it sits on a wrought iron stand that is complety open, If this is not a good skimmer please advise.

not the greatest by any stretch , keep looking, ive heard aqua c makes great products.

imo the aqua c is overpriced. you can get the same skimming with a cpr or a coral life super. you will save about 100.00 too. good luck.

But both of those units are large and not very eye appealing right?

rhe cpr is more appealing than the coralife. they all hang on the bck of the tank so you wouldnt see them anyways. imo they all look appealing as long as they do there job.

I've got a Prizm Skimmer on the back of my 55 gal. A nice small hang-on. I haven't had any problems with skimming or fish dying yet. Just make sure you put it somewhere where you can access it easily

is the prizm very noisey?? also I have read alot of posts here and they dont favor the prizm that much, any one else heard anything about them. Iam not knocking yours FISHYDOGS just tring to get all the input.

the coralife is around the same price as the prism and is 100 times better. w oouldnt skimp on a askimmer because of the looks of something you will barely see.
