sleeper goby

 I have a 3 year old 110 tank with a live sand bottom. The goby is sifting away and I have been enjoying his activity. I have been reading that these little guys can starve if the sand becomes depleted... Is there a way of replenishing the sand with the good stuff the the goby eats?

I have a golden headed sleeper goby and he likes krill and omega one flakes.
He took to krill the second day then the flakes a couple days later. I hide and watch from the side of the tank since i just got him about a week ago and is still a little shy.
He is actually my second sleeper goby. My first one i had for three months then got stung by an anemone and died.
