Sleeping Away From Home

I'm at my Parents' house tonight. i came down to help my Mom clean out her Late Mother's condo so we can get it ready for sale. in addition to having a profoundly depressing day, I now have to go to sleep all by myself b/c my Husband is 3hours away, back at home.
I feel funny sleeping by myself, even though I do have to come down here every so often. I have no dog, no cats, no Husband... This may be the house I grew up in, but it's not HOME anymore.

I am sleeping at my parents house tonight too. They are on vacation and I have to watch their elderly dog. I have my Jack Russel with me though. I go home to care for my other pets.

In the future, bring along you're husband's pillow to curl up with. Not the same, but it helps. (smells like him) He can use yours while you're away. I'm sure he will anyway.

I can't stand sleeping at anyone's place but my own....that being said I could probably sleep better with the significant other there.

once you get used to sleeping next to someone being without them is weird. how ur parents like the hair color?

Last night was the first night I slept without the wife, it was great! I didn't get hit for snoring, or jabbed bc I was taking over the whole bed or my covers pulled off. And I did not want to wake up at all this morning.

I was wondering how your mom liked the hair color as well....I love it!
Does she know about your tattoo? My dad wasn't happy about mine at all.

Funny how we're still scared of our parents even though we're adults....

I don't mind sleeping away from home, but I hate sleeping by myself.
On the parent note, I could really care less what my mom or dad think about my tattoos (I have 5 big ones) or my hair color (dark brown with red) or what I do. I have never been really close to them although we do talk.
