the best shims are Cedar shingles you can adjust by tapping the shingle in a little at a time and then trim the excess with a razor knife right in place. if you can put one in from opposite direction that makes a level rise for the legs.
what I mean is one on top of the other big end out to opposite sides when you slide them together it will get thicker.
