slime algae/temp?

Good question. I was wondering the same thing. Our weather warmed up a few days ago and my tank reached 84-86 degrees. I noticed faster growth of slime algea. Not alot but more than normal. I know it grows more in my skimmer (hang on type) due to what I thought was just being so close to strong light. Maybe it's the higher temp there too? I would be curious to hear more on this.

Just a guess. Maybe the higher temp. causes poorer water quality due to less oxygen and makes the algae grow more.
