Slime on surface of refugium

I keep getting a buildup of slime algae on the surface of my refugium. No noticable slime in my display tank just on the surface of the refugium. Is this normal? Just wondering if everyone/anyone else has this in their refugium. Should I be removing it or just leave it alone? Refugium has been set up since Oct 01, and has assorted calurpa growing in it which I harvest aprox 50% every month to remove/export nutients out of the system.

I'v heard of this happening to main tank do to protien build ups, but if it's not on your main tank then it could be the culerpa has gone sexual and released spores. Do oyu leave your refugium light on 24/7 or do you turn it off everyday?

refugium lights are on 24/7. I don't think it is the calurpa as the water under the surface is clear for the most part the slime is just on the surface and it's also kind of foamy.
