Found him just chillin ounder my kenya tree. Looked like he was eating algea but i doubt hes a good crab. He looks kind of hairy and appears to have dark brown or black claws. Any ideas?

Hmmm... small and hairy with dark tipped claws is usually a bad thing, tho emerald crabs are not always green and can have hairy legs.... what do the tips of his claws look like? Emeralds have "cupped" tips to their claws rather than pointy. This is actually my own crab and pic

Do you have a sump? I would sump him :)

All crabs, let me repeat that, all crabs are opportunistic feeders. They will eat what they can get if they are hungry. Always hard to know if they are hungry but normally with our efforts to keep a pristine environment with little decaying matter, and the constant vying for food between all the creatures, IME sooner or later a crab is going to do something you don't want it to do.
If you are comfortable with keeping your tank more natural and letting nature take it's course well then the crab can stay. If you are more like me, I think crabs are evil creatures, banish it to your sumpfuge or back to the LFS.

Looks like a Gorilla crab. They will attack your slow or sleeping fishies. Throw him in the fuge. These are mean little suckers!
