I have a bunch of small moving white things on the back of my tank glass. They look like swimming sand. The tank is clear, and the fish are doing great, but the back of the tank is covered in these things. the tank is 4 mo old. I have 110 lb LR,75 lb base rock, 3 yellow tail damels, 1 lawnmower blenny,1 lionfish, 2 sally lightfoots, 2 emrald crabs, and 30 blue leg hermits, 1 coral banded shrimp. It's a 92 gallon corner tank. wet/dry, skimmer, three powerheads, 110 watt CP lighting.
What are they, and what do I need to get that will eat them. I have 2 inches of sand in the bottom.

GREAT !!!
You have copepods ! They are a good sign that your tank is doing well. I remembered asking the same question like months ago and was told by many that this was a good indication that your tank is doing just fine. Congrats to you !

I would recommend a Blenny, manderins usually dont last long once there food supply runs out. I heard from a lot of sources that there just not a good fish to keep?

i have kept a manderian for over 3 years in a 20 with 45lbs of rock. the sopapods with multiply fast enough in the tank to keep the mandy alive if its the onlt thing that eats them and it will be according to rockfaces list. 185lbs of rock will keep the mandy alive. enough space for the copos to reproduce. i do it on alot less

good info thanks. I was worried my tank was being over run by an unidentified life form. Anyone else have ideas for good cleaners. Would a sand sifting star be good, or a shrimp goby?
