small pear-shaped whitish creature?

I have a number of small pear shaped whitish critter attached to return hoses, sponge filters, trays (canister filters).
They are 1/8 inch high with legs (antennas??) standing upright. They are attached to the object (even a base rock seeing no light). They don't move.
Sorry no pics.
What are they? Goor or bad?

Sponges...Good filters. Will go away as tank matures.
