small white cocoons

I have small white "cocoon" looking thing popping up all over in my tank. They are growing or attached to my LR. Most aren't even 1/4 in long, and smaller around than a pencil. Anyone know what these are, or have them before?

Both tanks I've setup have had the same thing happen after 3 or 4 months. They grow on my glass, any equipment in the tank and on the rocks. I'm almost positive that they are baby tubeworms. I'm sure that it is a good sign for water conditions, but not sure if it is good to have hundreds of tubes in the tank.

It's not bad, but it's not good either if you want to keep them. If you don't have enough food in the water they will start to disapear until there aren't many left in your aquarium.

Do you have a Feather Duster in your tank, if so! thats what they are. Look for tiny feathers at the end of the cocoon.
