Smaller or Larger pump for return and CL?

#3. Depending on your sump size. I'm guessing about 100 gals. Your going to want to do about 1500 -2000 gph on the return...The CL should be at least twice that.
FWIW, I do about 1000 gph on my 120 gal tank (40 gal sump) and about 3000 gph on my closed loop, plus another 1700 gph from the internal pumps

#3. Depending on your sump size. I'm guessing about 100 gals. Your going to want to do about 1500 -2000 gph on the return...The CL should be at least twice that.
FWIW, I do about 1000 gph on my 120 gal tank (40 gal sump) and about 3000 gph on my closed loop, plus another 1700 gph from the internal pumps

My sump is only going to be 60 gallon, 48x16x18 and I already bought the 2 pump so I guess I'll go with the smaller one on the return and use the larger one on the CL.
