POISONING FROM OUTSIDE SOURCES
"cigarette smoke and the use of aerosols around the tank are common sources of external poisoning."
Nuff said I think.
Better safe than sorry.

My puffer and I used to share a smoke now and then but we are in the process of quitting. I'm still deciding on whether to give him nicorette gum or put him on the patch.

you guys are hilarious. i've never really heard anyone ask such a question but it is a good thought. i don't think it could hurt because they're are always people at my house and alot of them smoke. hey misty927 is that your name or just your screen name? just curious because my names misty and i was raise in texas. in fact i'm about to move back in a few months.

Don't know if anyone said it, but smoke is killer on fans, ie. lighting fans. I smoke too much. :(

Bong water--- sounds almost as gross as skimmer scum--almost. I heard once that smoking around the tanks is not a good thing (which is ok I don't smoke in the house anyway, I have to go out into the freezing cold since I don't live in Texas) anyway I was told to even wash my hands after smoking if I was going to touch my tank--something about the nicotine chemical.
speaking of getting them high though--We had a big party over here once and a guy decided it would be cool to get my fish drunk--so he poured a bunch of Jack Daniels in my tank.. Needless to say party over--I was irrate-kicked everyone out to clean my tank--and Jack Daniels boy went to the hospital for some stitches. I did save my fish though. I'm not sure if it would have killed them or not actually but I wasn't taking any chances. You know how hard it is to catch your fish --try it drunk --hehehehe

i think if you turned your aquarium into a giant water bong that it may hurt your fish, or maybe at least stimulate thier appetite.
