You should NEVER flush a fish, (Bacteria,contamination,eco-system stuff.)As far as the "chunk" out of the side,,,, I dont know. But I will bet somebody else does
I wasn't commenting on the mistake whatsoever...I don't have a tank yet (will this weekend, hopefully :jumping: ), and I'm sure once I'm done researching and get everything set up, I will make mistakes too. The part that I was commenting on was the fact that he didn't even care that the fish died. He showed no remorse, wasn't upset, or anything like that. I'm not saying you need to go out and give the fish a proper burial, I just think a little sensitivity towards his pet would have been nice. Like I said though, I understand he made a mistake and I will make some as well I am sure.
OMG I did the same thing yesterday. Squashed a 3 stripe damsel that came with my tank. I was so angry with myself.
It was a full military funeral, with a 21 gun salute.
yep i did the same thing with a decorater crab, the dang thing looked like a small rock so i set the much bigger rock down and i hear a crunch, i picked the big rock up and my "small rock" was in a few pieces, i felt so bad
yeah it was a little insensitive, but what can i say, me being sensitive would have changed nothing. iam new at this and it was just a cromie, i was upset at myself, iam in the middle of cycling and i put 3 chormie in before knowing that the cycle would probably kill them, i was kinda expecting them to live, and keep them in the tank, anyways,, OPPS
