several months ago I started a thread on these snails. Although I wasn't able to get clear pics of these lil critters, I got really no replies.
So tonight, after getting 3 fozen of these off the glass and in the trash, yet again, I snapped some pics and they came out great. Two weeks ago I redid my aquascaping and literally got 6 dozen of these of the rocks and more from the substrate with vacuming. Help with I.D. and removal ideas pls. not the big hermit shell but the little critters.

Oh... and with all of this said, thy have not been witnessed eating any corals. For the most part, they avoid them.

They almost look like Sundial Snails... http://www.melevsreef.com/id/sundial_snail.html
Sundial Snails eat Zoanthids... Still though, I'm not quite sure and don't have a complete positive ID on them yet.

thanks for the link snake.. this looks nothing like the snot balls in the tank. Mine are tan color and the brown is blotchy, kinda like lepard spots and verticle lines. I dunno, maybe there are a wide variety of the sundials?

Nope, meowzer is right. Sorry, I posted it at like 1 in the morning, I was tired. They are Collonista Snails. As Meowzer has pointed out, they are harmless. It's fun to know that you are breeding snails in your tank... that your tank is that healthy. :D
