Snail question

I was just wondering, what happens when a snail gets shell jacked by a hermit? Can a snail even live without its shell?

well they usually die when the hermit takes them out i believe if not fish and any shrimp will pick at it

The shell is part of the snails body, its vitals are hidden inside the shell, so without the shell the snail is surely doomed.
