Snail shell stuck in clam by his foot

When I redid my tank I noticed that my Croatia clam had a snail shell wedged in by its foot between its two shells and it wont come out. Looks like it is holding it with its foot for some reason and will not let go
Its a sizable snail shell and I cant seem to get it to expel it on its own.
Any advice would be most appreciated..... I hope it is not a danger to him but it makes me really worried that it is stuck

can ur clam close with the shell under it? if ur clam can open and close with no issue, then its not a problem.
