Snails and crabs

I am wondering if im the only one that has hermit crabs and snails die? It seems i am replacing them every 2 months or so. Nothing seems to be eating them but im always finding empty shells

I agree, let us know what's in your tank. I have red and blue leg hermits, and a number of turbo snails. I actually did have a bunch die off but they went over time.. due to age.

how long do scarlet hermits live anyway? what are the average hermit crab's lifespan?
