I just got 40 assorted snails for my tank and when I put them in a bunch of them are upside down. The quetion is will these turn over by themself, or do I need to put them upright? They are cheap, but still would not like them to die.
thanks

You didn't just "throw them in" right?? You acclimated them first??
Usually, you will hafta flip them. Unless there is a rock or something nearby that they can grab onto. Just as an idea though, I remove the stick part off of my mini blinds and use that.

yeah I acclimated for about an hour. They are all moving, but kinda stuck together in one clump. Like a massive orgy :cheer: .
I will start to flip them one they come apart.

Or you could put something near them so they can crawl away on their own. Like a small rock thats heavier than them.

I grab a few extra long straws if I get fast food to help flip snails and spot feed my star.

My snails sit at the water line with their heads out of water. Some one told me that they are instinctly waiting for the tide to go out. Is this normal? or was the guy feeding me a line...:notsure:
