hey I picked up 4 snails today for my 10 gallon today, and I have noticed that everywhere they go they leave a white strip behind them because they have eaten some of the algae. its kind of ulgy I mean everywhere u look theirs a long white stripe behind the snail...I was thinking that in a couple months all of my liverock would be solid white by the rate these snails are going. does anybody else have this problem. Also I was wandering when I get corals will the snails go on the corals, like "slide" over top of them and destroy it? Thanks

naw its not a conch. they are snails but when the snails move they eat algae and they eat like all of it and its white. becuase they eat the brown alage away and its just bare lr. only on some spots tho where the snails have been. and its not slimy

I don’t know if this could be it at all, but I noticed when coralline dies it turns a white color. Perhaps they are eating algae that has overgrown coralline leaving a white line behind them.
