Snails

I know that snails eat the basic brown and green algae in our tanks, but i was wondering if they ate coraline algae also, if thats the case then i dont want to bother with them.

I dont believe any of them I had heard of eat coraline.

they really don't have the mechanisms to eat coraline, like an urchin does.
