how many should I buy? I need some clean up crew to help keep the algae on my tank walls down. My tank is 20 gallons. Thanks for the input. !

i would do 30 of various kinds of snails. nassarius, cerith, turbo, etc.

How bad is the problem? In a 20 gallon tank, you could get away with 6 or so turbo's. If you add a ton, they'll rid your tank of all the algae and then slowly starve unless you feed them algae strips. Which sort of defeats the whole thing.

its not a huge problem, but there is definitely noticeable algae build up on the glass, well there was before I cleaned it today anyway

i have about 45ish in my 29, and although it isnt spotless, they keep it looking nice.

The norm I use is 20 per 100 gallon. But Alix sounds like she is doing really well with much more than that in her smaller tank. Perhaps you can start off with a dozen and see what happens???

You can even go with maybe 10 nassarius and 1 MEXICAN turbo.. These huge guys are always on the move and one is more than enough for a 20..
