Snails

Im sick and tired of taking my snails out of the filter they cral in there at night to get to the waste on the filter pad what do you recomend to top them from climbing in there
PS my clown host the filter it stinks when she was small she would fall in there while she was sleeping no problem now though

I have atrea snails and a protien skimmer

what kind of filter? I'd leave them...they'll come out, and they are doing what they are supposed to do
