snails

I was looking in my SW tank today and noticed a few Turbo Snail shells with little white things on them...not like ick but like a tiny almost connected u-shape some an o. I only seen it on the snails. Just wondering if anyone could help me out Thanks

more than likely its a tiny foramniferan that has settled on the shell of the snail. foramniferans, are tiny singe celled organisms that build hard shell like structures, and filter feed inthe water!

Is it gonna turn into those dandelion lookin things...the seeds after the flower/weed? And is it good for the tank?
