snails

I'm still losing my snails to the unknown. I have a seventy five gal. tank with lr/ls, seven fish and some inverts. I have checked the water sal. 1.022, ph 8.2. amm. 0, nitrite 0, and nitrate 10ppm. All my fish are fine but i can not keep snails up and going. Any suggestions are welcomed.

It is most likely lack of FOOD! What type of snails do you have, how many and what food sources do you have? How's the micro algae in your tank?

I was once told that high temperature could be a problem for snails. Make sure your tank isn't too hot (above 82 will do it).

are you useing a hydromtier to mesure salt 022 is kinda low and if hyd is off snails are real acceptable to salt imo raise salt to 024/025 and accliment real slow

Yes, it is true. Salinity is the most crucial for snails. I had about 10, lost 7. Now that my salinity is a little bit higher they don't die as fast as before. The three live happily in my tank.
