Snake's attempt at artistic photography

I like a lot of those but I have to admit, I just don't get a few of them. Not that you wanted opinions but, I love the oscars, the eel, the big shark tank. I love the cannon, the birds and the sky. Not quite getting the one on the street or the forks. Also not quite getting the building (looks like a school). I also really like the sidewalk with the pillars and the turtles... JMO
I think the birds or the oscars are my favorite... they seem to be communicating a message...

Hah, thank you, thank you crimzy. I like opinions, but I don't care what you say. lol, I like most of them. I don't know why I liked the forks. I liked the one on bourbon st. in New Orleans. It kind of shows "perspective."
The pigeons? You liked the pigeons? lol, that's cool.

Hey - it's my paw-paw's house, how'd that get in there??

Just kidding. That's a shack in the alligator part of the zoo at New Orleans.

I didn't even realize that was Bourbon St.!! Somehow it looked different when I was there... can't quite put my finger on it.

In a way, you can see some pattern to them if you look at them as a whole. The way the wings are turned up and the way their bodies are positioned...very intriguing.

If I could give some constructive critism:
Try shooting at different angles... most of these are straight-on and perfectly symmetrical. I photograph as a hobby, and I've found that some of the best pictures are the one that make you think.... pictures that show something people are not used to.
Another thing to think about is how easily you can manipulate the light and reflections. You'll find that all kinds of stuff is shiny and if you can use reflections to accent curves or lines, that's a good way to get an artsy shot.
To give an example, you took a picture of that bronze horse rider... I would have analyzed it and looked for angles that make people think, like a close-up of the horses reins, angled slightly left, playing with the way it reflects from the sun.
I can post a few pic's I've taken to show you what I mean if you want...

Nice Seth, very nice. Love both turtle pics and the drawings are A+. Can't say I cared for the snake picture - just not my thing.
