Snowflajke eel trouble

Well about a week and a half ago I purchased a snowflake eel that is about 7 inches long. The problem is that he never comes out from where he is hding and I never have a good chance to feed him. What can I do?
Above that fact that I cant find my snowflake eel to feed, my bluejaw trigger eats everything that hits the water.
So what is the best way to get the eel out to eat? This has got me really worried right now.

You'll need a feeding stick to feed the eel. Try distracting the trigger with food and while he's busy eating extend the feeding stick to the hole where the eel is hiding and keep your fingers cross.

Have you noticed him comming out after the tank lights are out for the night? They seem to like the darkness the best. (at least our does)
Ours cruises the tank all night, the only time he comes out during the day is when he is hungry, then he pops his head out of his many holes and looks at me.
I would try what Harlequinnut sugested with the feeding stick, you could also try waiting until the lights are out for a little while and the trigger is settled in for the night, then try the feeding stick down close to his hole, he may feel more comfortabe in the dark. Once he gets used to his new home, I'm sure you will see more of him. Lisa

common problem....
give it time for your eel to settle in and start stick feeding him. Use small chunks of shell-on gulf shrimp, crab meat, scallops etc impale them on the end of a long plastic rod(or rigid airline tubing) and get the food close to the eels nose, litely bump the eels nose, SFe hunt by smell not eyesight.
Also if you feed your triggers first they won' bother you too much when you fed the eel
