I feed mine every other day, he eats right out of my hand. I have fed him this way ever since I had him, he has grown so much, so I guess it works.

because hes a baby and most likely new to your system offer food daily if he doesnt take itdaily, dont worry they will eat when they are hungy ,but if you feed it small portions daily(its much easier and healther to digest) you chance less risk of nocturnal hunting which at times promotes escape.as he gets older the feeding can be slowed down to 3 times per week.i found feeding 10 min before lights out is the best for most eels and nocturnal hunters

What is considered a small amount? I tend to feed a few pieces of krill or squid daily. I've had him for a few weeks. He always comes out and swims around when I feed the trigger every day. He continues to swim around looking for food after I feed him a few pieces, is that a sign of him not getting enough?
He's relatively small, 8-10 inches.
