snowflake eel feeding

Don't limit the food to just silversides. A variety keeps them healthier in the long run. Feeding every two days is fine. Obviously the larger the eel the more it can consume at a feeding, but evey two days is reasonable. Silversides, pieces of squid or octo, small chunks of scallop or shrimp, even occassional krill is fine.

I've had 2 snowflake moray eels, and I've found feeding them every 2 days is good. Make sure that you have a tightly covered aquarium,or your moray eel will find the opening and will slither out of your aquarium like a snake onto the floor where it will perish if you're not around to place it back into the aquarium in time. Enjoy the hobby
