Snowflake Eel Questions

I'm thinking about getting a snowflake eel and I have a few questions about them:
*Can I put a cleaner shrimp in with him? I read in that eels will not harm morays.
*Will they harm hermit crabs?
*I want to know some good foods for them and I want to know if i could feed them live goldfish

*Do you like cheerios?

The bigger morays (dragon, whitemouth, tessy,) are less likely to eat cleaner shrimp beacause their main food source is fish, the smaller Morays (snowflake, zebra, ect.) main food source is crutacean, and thus would likely make an expensive snack out of a shrimp. I feed mine frozen shrimp, clams, silversides, and so on. I don't think eels eat cheerios but I do, and my 2 year old eats the hell out em.

Then would I be able to keep a cleaner shrimp? Oh and speaking of feeding is there a chance of hand feeding. I heard this is possible but i want to make sure how safe it is.

IMO any shrimp would eventually get munched. As far as hand feeding I would not reccommend it, the bite of a moray is supposed to be extremely painful due to their curved teeth. I had my eel trained where I could open the lid, and place a piece of shrimp on the edge just hanging over the water, and he would come out of the water and grab it.

yes i have kept snowflakes with many hermits they do not harm them.. but yeah my eel really liked silversides and mysis shrimp. Goldfish arent a good idea because i have read that freshwater fish can be hard on there liver and unhealthy you could do it on occasion but not alot

In most cases, the sfe will not bother cleaner shrimp, and they usually allow the shrimp to clean them. I kept a large sfe with a few cleaner shrimp and the eel would let the shrimp clean inside of it's mouth. Hermits and snails will be fine. Crabs like emeralds, porcelains, sally lightfoots, etc are at risk.

I introduced the first scarlett hermits to my tank today and my small snowflake immediately started to mess with them. The hermits are smart and retracted to their shells but will this be a long term concern of mine?? Or was he just being inquisitive??
