Ok guys Im really not feeling good about my eel. I noticed him acting weird right before we moved him to the new 90gal. I had taken some rock from the old tank to the new, and he seemed pissed that i took some of his home. He still ate though, just not as much as usual. Anyway he hasn't eaten in almost two weeks now. I know I need more rock, and maybe thats it, but until I can afford it, would a piece of pvc pipe in the tank be ok for him. I actually have added some new rock, probablly doubled what i had before, but still he has alot of new roomates and I dont think he likes it. He seems to be hanging out midway up the pile instead of completly underneath in the sand like usual. His nostrils are not pointed up, and he seems very weak. Every once in a while he comes out, whips around the tank like crazy, and then heads right back to his spot. He refuses to eat anyting. I've tried his usualk squid, and even baby clams. Any advice, and is pvc tube ok in the tank?:help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help:

You said new tank, this automatically leads me to think that there might be a water quality problem that might be stressing your eel out.
You also didn't mention what you're trying to feed him or what the eel normally eats. I would try some fresh not frozen, shrimp, squid, clams or mussels from the meat department at the grocery store.
