Ditto. Also he may or may not eat the start fish but I would think if the SFE saw it he may nip at it thinking its food and its not then back off but leaving the starfish with a nasty wound. When I feed my SFE he goes bazerks in the tank and nips at any fish that is in his way (accidently thinking it was food).

My SFE has a CC starfish as a tank mate. I dont belive he even knows the star is in there. I have tried some other inverts and they have all become expencive snacks. I'll never try again.

jeez, you guys - my 24 in. snowflake is very sweet! he is in with a bunch of tiny fish and inverts, and has never touched a thing! do you guys feed them with a stick, or just drop food in? i read somewhere that if you get them used to a feeding stick, they will most likely leave your fish alone. how often do you feed? i feed him twice a week, as much as he will eat. maybe you guys just have jerks.....
