I have one in my reef dose good keep feed ever 2-3 days however i cant put no new inverst in however he dont mess with the ones that were there before him

I had a ???
I plan on starting a 55 gallon tank with 45lbs. or so of liverock as a cave.I want to put a snowflake eel and a lionfish(DWARF) as the only fish,but I also would like to put a couple zoo's and mushrooms.The ? is what filtration do I use?I have a pro clear aquatics 75 gallon wet/dry and a octopus nw 110 protein skimmer,will this work?I know they work good on fish only systems real well.I really don't want too many corals,just a couple to add a little more to the tank.Is there anything else I need to add.
I really want to use my wet/dry if possible.

Your equipment should work out well for that setup. Just keep an eye on your water parameters and keep up with bi-weekly or monthly water changes.

Yes, just keep up with regular water changes and check your calcium levels. From a thread I just posted a few days back, coraline algae (pink and purple algae) will thrive as long as you maintain the calcium levels. Well being its a 55g, the eel is gonna outgrown that tank fast. If you get an eel, keep it to one for that tank. BTW, secure the openings of the tank and anything small enough for his head to fit through. They are houdinis!!!

Well being its a 55g, the eel is gonna outgrown that tank fast. If you get an eel, keep it to one for that tank. BTW, secure the openings of the tank and anything small enough for his head to fit through. They are houdinis!!!

Thats right... Don't let ANY available space, hole, etc. Even the smallest opening can be a recipe for disaster. I use to had one a couple of years ago. It was about 12-14 inches long. The only opening was a small opening (1/2 by 2 inches) from where originally the cables went out of the canopy... and one morning I found it on the floor...
I just learned that even the smallest opening can be their way out...

The only opening was a small opening (1/2 by 2 inches) from where originally the cables went out of the canopy... and one morning I found it on the floor...

I've seen a Snowflake eal survive long and still alive in a 24g nano, due to the no openings and he does have shrimps..but the eal won't eat anything if its to big so it seemed. It was fed live food.
