snowing??? too much calcium? excess calcium gives the tank a milky look.
I'm not sure what you mean by snowing though. Can you post a pic?

Usually, snowing happens if you added a calcium additive to rapidly to the tank and "Overload" the system with calcium.. What are you levels????

LOL sorry to poke at your misfortune but this is always one of those things people neevr believe, Please post a pic.
If you do another waterchange it will clear up, dont worry about trying to vaccuum the snow out, when it balances again the cal will break back down, you just need to dilute it out and push back up your alk. Everything slowly, just do a 10% change with no supplements other than salt mix. And then check your alk and PH again.

retest and my mag is reading bout 1600ppm???did i get bad salt?if this is

Do what the other poster suggested... water changes... I would do 10% water change for about 3 consecutive days. That should balance everything out.

When calcium reaches a level where it precipitates, the calcium level will drop dramatically. This is why your reading is only 390.

Is it possible it is some odd salt build up. Maybe from off part of the tank or hood. I have also send salt settle in some of my water jugs that become small white flakes of salt. But that should settle pretty quick. Sounds like you are having a recurrent problem. Not sure, just a couple ideas.
