LOL that's really funny!
Anyway I think snows are beautiful and so much fun! I wish we have snow here too.

I asked you about this in another thread, but it got lost to time. Your posts say you also live in North Carolina, but you once indicated a different time zone, which I found to be an island chain (forgot which ones now).

i dont know ?he has offered me them a couple times but i havnt gone in a while.he doesnt go to the cup races.he goes around the country with the test cars for data.he can tell you every inch of every track.pretty crazy the technology in those cars.every moving part has a sensor on the test cars.it all gets put in a computer.then he has a meeting with the brains of the outfit to find new ways to run better.
endless money .

I live in Baytown, which is about 30 miles east of Houston. It did get very cold lastnight, 27 degrees I believe and right now its only 44 degrees. My wife loves this but I hate it do to the fact that my other hobby is Rare tropical plants. Needless to say, I went into the backyard this morning and was very upset with what I saw. Brown mushy leaves everywhere. And this was AFTER covering them up lastnight and running heat to them.

The telemetry on those things is amazing... You really should go when you get a chance. It is quite the spectical. And you might end up like I did, a fan...

yeah, I think the issue is the amount of races now. IMO they should wipe out all the second races except dega, and daytona, and the short tracks.

i miss the days when the drivers would tell it like it is.and throwing their helmets at the car that caused a crash.nascar has put so many rules out there now all you hear out of a driver is sponsor names.

The only thing worse then the snow is the mud that follows it in the spring
I actually love the snow.
And wow, I had no idea so many people were from Buffalo, although it makes sense that there's an exponentially larger amount of people FROM Buffalo then IN Buffalo....I avoid that place like the plague, only make an exception for Sabres games....but I guess Ill have to try to find a good fish store out there....or head towards Jamestown.

When I was younger, I used to spend half the year in Lockport, NY area and unfortunately frequented Buffalo.

NASCAR has had it's 36 race schedule since 2001, and they've hovered around a 30 race schedule since the institution of the Winston Cup series (71/72, depending on who you ask). Previously the Grand National series in the 60's, there were closer to 50 races in a season.
I have and will continue to say this to I'm blue in the face, the tanking popularity of NASCAR is almost solely due to the addition of these 1.5/2-mile D-shaped tracks. You simply can't trade a thrilling Wilkesboro or Rockingham race, for a terrible California, Kansas, Chicago race, where there's 4 lead changes all race, and 9 cars finish on the lead lap. Look at how many identical D-shaped track races were in like the absolute prime of NASCAR in the late-90's, and how many races there were this past year at those style tracks.
All that said, this past year, with the hands-off "driver's govern themselves" approach NASCAR took, IMHO worked quite well, and helped rejuvenate the series a bit.

to me it just boils down to ..it just got to big business like.i loved the old days of earnhardt, wallace, gant, elliot, now it is just too boring.talking smack.
now if you even say anything a bit bad you get a $50,000 fine.
just like football is going now fines for tackling someone above the waist.thats going to get stupid .
i go to the dirt circle track here and there and enjoy it more than nascar now.
i will say this between nascar and nhra.those engineers are smarter than nasa.incredible what they can make a car do.c'mon top fuel from a dead stop goes the first 60 feet in less than a second.incredible.the more you know about race cars the more impressive it is.i have been around racing most of my life and these guys still impress me.everytime the rules change to slow the cars for safety .they only take one week to figure out how to tune the car right back.

I can't disagree with that. But I don't want to lose my texas race... lol
