So how much does the packaging weigh?

This site has a sale on live rock with free shipping.But iit says the box weighs 45-50lbs.So how much do you think the box,styrofoam and wet newspapers weigh?How much ROCK do you get?

it just comes in a box...with news paper. my box was ripped open when i got it and soaked! but the rock is pretty good for the price

Was the rock in a plastic bag with the newspaper or just a plain cardboard box?

it was all in 1 plastic bag.

Cardboard box, styrofoam packing and a plastic bag. The total packaging weight is very small and the pieces of rock I received from this site were VERY choice pieces.
