So stupid...dropped ring in tank!! help!

well im the dummy of the century..while moving around the rock in my tank i placed my ring on the canopy lid...and then forgetting it was there,went to close it and the ring fell in,its somehow gotten itself under a rock,and as i tried getting it the sand moved around and clouded my path of sight,and now i cant even see it...can i give time for the sand to settle..or is this potentially horrible for my water !! it not a great ring,its cheesy sterling silver or something and old..so i dont want it to rust and infect the tank or something...ugh im so dumb,any info is appreciated!

P.S-once i get some info ill delete this stupid thread *embarassed*
EDIT:i got it!! with a very long plastic spoon lol thank to everyone who tolerated my panic attack,im trying to delete the thread currently..can you not delete on this forum? hmm..o.o

depending on whats its made out of it can possible leach into the tank. I would try to get it out not sure of the easiest way to do it though since its probably not able to be picked up with a magnet if its is you can wrapp a magnet in a zip lick bag and try it to see if maybe it will grab it. if not there is no easy way I can think of to get it out.
if you can see it thats easy use a hook
good luck on getting it.

Let the water clear, and make a hook out of wire. Hook ring, and pull it out.

hope you are able to see where it is and get it out. don't think the ring being in there for a couple of minutes is going to hurt your tank but you don't want to leave it in there.

i got it,using a very long plastic spoon lol i just dug around until i felt it..thanks so much everyone,i was having a panic attack!! ill delete this in a minute!! <3
