I borrowed a trap from the LFS and put it in my other tank. I was able to catch the Sailfin Tang with in an hour, but the Hippo won't go near the trap. Any suggestions :notsure: are appreciated.
Sorry, no suggestions on your hippo...awesome looking set up!! That thing looks to be about the size of my living room!! Well, ok, maybe my spare bedroom.
Great job, the rocks look really cool.

I decided to move the corals to the 93 and just keep the one reef. I don't have a chiller on this tank and the water gets up to about 84-84 when the MH's are on. This will become what I originally set out to get a FOWLR semi-aggresive tank.
So now that 3 days have passed and my Hippo won't even look at the trap(all of the rest of the fish swim in and out all day), my wife called me at work to congragulate me on catching it.??? There was nothing in the trap when I left for wok this morning... She tells me the Dory is real pissed off and flipping and flopping in the tank. I won't be able to get there for a few more hours. I hope it doesn't stress her out to bad.

yes, some of the rock is resting on the wall. I got lucky because the pieces kinda just went together like a puzzle.

I just got home to find my favorite fish has died of stress. The trap was to much for her. This is the saddest day since I started with the hobby.

Awwwe...I'm SO sorry!! I know exactly how you feel...

I feel so guilty. The main reason for the larger tank was to house the tangs which are outgrowing my 93gal so they can be happier and now I have killed her.

You didn't kill her...you did everything you could to try to give her the best. I know how you feel though, I lost my little coral beauty angel during a tank transfer a couple of months ago. If you planned correctly and followed that plan, well then you can't foresee extenuating circumstances.
Really sorry for the loss of your fish...

Thanks and good luck with your move. I hope it goes smoother than mine did. I am not sure about the MH's but I have unplugged them do to heat issues. I have taken the corals out and put them in my reef which has a chiller on it.
