Bad part is I could power up the tank if I were home via dc/ac converter but I stalled out my ride coming home from work and am stuck up in a hotel until the rain dies down and my wife feels like coming to get me (or I feel like walking back to the car and seeing if I can get it started. not likely now that I've spent $140 on a not that great hotel but with excellent wireless internet service
and a tropical storm is still passing by) Only actual fish in the system is a hippo tang but he/she is suppose to be the centerpiece of my new 120g set up and quite frankly I've been bending over backwards to keep it healthy in my 30g until the new tank is ready. After a few rocky initial months it finally just got to the point were I didn't have to worry about its health anymore. I bought it at only 1" and its just big enough now where it doesn't look like a baby tang and grew some balls when it comes to feeding and people approaching the tank. I also have corals as well (mushrooms, xenia, brain, hammer, button polyps) and a fire shrimp I've had for 2yrs. Even if the power comes back on it does me no good until I can get home and restart the syphon. I'm not really worried just yet, its lost power overnight before while I was at work but this time I dont how long it will be before i can get home. Could be tommorow. Have many flooded roads where I'm at (norfolk, va). Bad part is its only 30 miles away. If all goes wrong 30 gallon set up complete for sale (stand, lights, sump everything)
Oh and the car, its not hydrolocked (not yet but one day my luck will run out. if you've ever done it you'll know it). it ran, sputtered and spit out white smoke from the exhaust like it does the two or three times a year this happens to me. I actually made it well past the water which wasn't even terribly deep and well below my intake. Its not going to start until what water left in the MAF and intake tract dries up. Damn what I risk for for 3 extra horsepower
anyway rain is suppose to stop by the afternoon.
