SO everyone is saying not to cycle w/ damsels....its too late for me now. What should have i cycled with. I have not been checking any of the levels in the tank because I figured whatever is happening is just a normal party of the process. I guess I should go to the pet store tommorow and get a water test. Just curious you guys and I appreciate yalls advice tonight. My new tank(29 gallon) has the agrogrite sand. standard hoot with ocean sun bulb and my filter is the technoflo bio 260 which filters 260 gal/hr. IS all this enough for a viable fishtank and ecosystem? what else should I look at getting?

Most people would say you should cycle with LR, or a frozen shrimp. The setup is ok if you tend on just having the damsels and maybe a couple hermit crabs. The tank really isn't large enough to put anymore fish in there, plus damsels are very aggressive and probably won't allow much else in the tank anyways. Do water changes on a regular basis, and good luck.
P.S. You should be testing your water.

You will certainly need more flow (add a powerhead) and get some live rock for sure! Take the damsels back for store credit and add a good bit of live rock.

DEFINITELY not tangs, perhaps a dwarf angel ( a single). But realistically you will not get a lot of fish in there. Strictly speaking, it is a very small saltwater tank, that can be overwhelmed quickly.

I fully agree. That was my next post. No tang is suitable in that tank, and you will not get more than 4 or 5 fish reasonably in that tank.
