Soaking in Garlic

How are people doing this? Does grocery store cary an extract? Dosage? Any other soaking going on for food? Bazil, sugar, equal? :)

LOL, no but perhaps a liquid oragano might work,As for the galic it is sold in pet store in aliquid or a paste type format like the product by ecosytems.

garlic extract is sold in liquid form in walmart. just make sure that you do not have an oil based extract but instead a water based one.
 
thanks for the adive, I will check around before I try pet store for water based garlic, how much to add? Any body else adding any funky junk?

i just put some brine or kent pellets in a cup. pour some liquid garlic over it a put it in the frig over night. feed the next day.

I have the same question. why feed with garlic and how often, every feeding? does it keep them heathly or help their color? is it recomended for all fish or just some?

It's used as a non-copper ich treatment.
Supposedly after using garlic extract the garlic finds it's way to the slimey coating of a fish's exterior, making it unpalatable or inhospitable to parasites.
I don't know for sure if it works, but I do soak food in garlic extract once or twice a week because it probably can't hurt.
