What kind of lighting is it over your tank?

corrently have 5 diff. colonies of differnt colored zoos and 2 colonies of red star polyps and a small frag of yellow polyps
all doing great and are randomly placed

I'd say watch those for a few months and see how their color does. If it doesn't deteriorated then more of the same would be good. Many of the mushrooms don't require much in the way of light and can be found very cheaply. Some of the hardier Xenia might work out as well.
Be prepared for some colors to fade a bit if they were kept under stronger lighting before you got them. It shouldn't cause the corals any problems, but they might not be as colorful as they would be under powerful lighting.
