ya man they are nuts, i have a 55 now and would NEVER put one in my 55, im wanting to upgrade in the NEAR future to 125+++ i would be nervous even putting them in a 125....just love that damn fish!!!
I've never seen a small one. I tried to find a smaller on when I bought the one I have now; magnificent, but nasty fish. I was told Red Sea divers just don't bother; they get more $ for the bigger ones. Similar to Aussie tusks I guess, you hardly ever see a small one.
my lfs just got one that is 2.5" smallest one hes ever seen, QTing for a month as we speak, hes going to be sitting it for me until i upgrade, he doesnt mind putting such a gorgeous fish in his 265 reef for a few months!!! (nor do i, ill be able to save up the money for him and make sure he is healthy) ill post pics hopefully this weekend when i go to check on him!!! wish me (and the fish) luck!!
hahaha no HE wont, hes going to make me, told me to bring a case of beer and plan on being there all night!!! Goof thing is how his LR is set up, plus he has a few traps...it will be fun!

+1 i was thinking the same thing when you said he was in a 265g tank, hopefully you get lucky and catch him easily
My neighboe just paid a boat load of cash for a 4-5 inch Sohal Tang to add to his 220 FOWLR. The fish swims fast, eats crazy, and is already bullying his Queen Angel, Blue Face Angel, Purple Tang, Blue-throat Trigger & Niger Trigger!!
Absolutely GORGEOUS FISH!!
well hopefully i can grab some good pics on monday, i was in Charleston SC lastnight and today and on the way home i stopped in a LFS that ive heard a lot about and they had a 4-5" one that they were selling, they said theyve had him for about three weeks and he was actually being "social" with his tank mates (blue jaw, niger, and powder blue) who knows tho....Is it correct that a sohal should/has to be the last fish in the system??
