Some growth pics

Here are some then and now pictures of corals in both of my tanks (55 gal SPS & 30 Gal soft & LPS). I hope you like them!
Here is my 30 gal Soft and LPS Tank. The picture on the left was taken on 3/14 (I tore it down and restarted on this date) and the picture on the right was taken on 7/25

This my Brown Montipora Capricornis. The pic on the left is from 4/6 and the pic on the right is from 7/29

Looks like you run a prizm. Do the air bubbles ever clear up? Five days from initial setup and no foam whatsoever. I have a capricornus. Your's is gonna take off upwards

You got some really nice growth on your Acropora Cerealis and Montipora Capricornis! Your Cerealis has really colored up since the last picture!
You've really tempted me to make a growth shot of one of my corals Here's what I came out with (the coral shown below is actually infected with the "red bugs)

Acropora Yongei. This is the frag I almost killed try to keep it under PC lighting. The pic on the left is from 4/1 and the pic on the right is from 7/29 (This is the reason I and others push metal halide so hard for SPS and clams!)

Pink Pocillipora. the pic on the left was taken 4/5 and the pic on the right was taken 7/25.
**BTW - None of my pictures (including these) are ever altered other than resizing - The color changes in the pictures are a 100% true change in color of the corals themselves with absolutely no color alteration!!!

Yep, I run a prizm on both tanks currently. I am saving for a Euroreef Skimmer for my SPS tank but the Prizm does an OK job. After you got the initial water flow going did you move the air line hose from position 1 to position 2? If not you will get a lot of bubbles and water flow and your collection cup will fill with sea water but you'll get no skim.

Thank you very much! Your coral has had some very nice growth as well! I have Red Bugs on several of my acros. I have only been able to attribute one SPS death to red bugs so far. I currently have 4 Acros that have Red Bugs on them but they are very healthy with great growth so I am not too worried (yet any way!). I have actually witnessed at night with a flashlight some Gammarus Amphipods in the corals that have the Red Bugs in them and I believe they are eating them. Usually on nights that I see this I seem to have a much lower than normal amount of Red Bugs on the acro the next morning?

i did that. But it over produces bubbles. Ivebeen told it needs to be broken in though. Just wondering your eperiences

When I first got mine I had to run it with the valve almost completely closed. If you can adjust it so the bubbles so they stay about an inch from the top of the throat, eventually it will start filling the collection cup.

yeah i'm having to run it right now almost fully closed. I noticed this morning that the siphon flow had completely stopped and the pump was just blowing air. I'm glad it had some water on at least...... I was just getting a little worried a couple days later. I would of hated to waste a good birthday present

No worries it will break in over time. Pump up the flow a little if the water sops running on you! Good luck!

Oh.... I want some orange monti..... I have purple monti....
I attml i woke up today and i have FOAM!!!!
There is a small amount of foam on the top of the water so it looks like its kicking in finally.
